Jailhouse Dinner Party Hacks - Ramen Casserole and Jail cake
One of the most sought after products in jail is a pack of Green Chili Ramen. They retail for 75 cents at the jail. One of the inmates at my local county jail runs a salon from her bunk. Hair braiding costs 4 packs of Ramen, eye brow threading is two packs
One Day while I was in jail, it was hot dog day and the commissary store had just gotten cheez whiz back in stock. Several of the women saved their hot dog weiners and beans from their lunch trays. They always saved the cookies. Being a newbie, I had no experience with jail cooking. I was incredibly impressed with what the women were able to create using Ramen as a base. This is one of the most popular jailhouse creations in my local area.
Ingredients
1 hot dog weiner
1 cup cooked pinto beans
1 pack Ramen - Chili or Beef flavored noodles work best
2 tbsp cheez whiz
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp mustard
1/2 cup hot water
Chop wiener into bite sized pieces. microwave hot dog bites for 30 seconds or until slightly crispy.
Separate Ramen brick into sheets as shown in the image
